artpapa.com . Multiple Layers Painting Step by Step Portrait Exercise. A special teaching system which I have developed specifically to enable the student to learn and remember the main technical principles of the Flemish painting traditions in a very short time. Students will practice paintng on step-by-step template with 6 windows reflecting the stages of classical multilayer technique, from imprimatura to the final brush strokes. In the windows showing the previous stages (layers), students will imitate the exact color and shade mixture of the next layer, following the example of the template, without waiting for the paint to dry.

Alexei Antonov is my favorite artist. I study painting 3 years now and I want to try this old technique. Very helpfull video.
well, spend only $ 180 on the video and you have a very wonderful tutorial to learn is much cheaper than taking a painting course in school, which at least cost you $ 650
what kind of varnish do u use?
i see =[
@EpIceRs
artists rule of thumb ~
materials + time = price, then x 3 = final price.
may i ask something . why is ur tutorial video $180. i mean , that costs 7 times more than a DVD movie.
Thank you Alexei. A question. What colors are used in the dead layer. just white? or is blue used also. Thanks.
that is very good and informative.

Its nice to see the man behind the camera! Brilliant idea you have there for people to practice! Bravo!

beautiful
You are absolutely the best artist that I have ever seen, Including my love of the Old Masters! I pray that one day I can paint as beautifully as you can. Thank you so very much for sharing!
Love it! What varnish did you use by the way? Do you make a transition layer in between the paint layer and varnish layer also? (For future cleanings)
this is a great idea!
